Who We Are:
Delta Industries, Inc. and it's
family of companies supply the mid-south region with
quality ready-mix concrete and related products. Our
Ready-Mix Concrete logo:
has been a symbol of
quality concrete for over 60 years. From our beginning
with 22 Army surplus trucks in 1945, to our current
fleet of over 200 trucks, we have established ourselves
as the quality ready mix concrete producer in our market
areas.
Our customer base ranges
from the do-it-yourselfer to residential and commercial
contractors and the largest of industrial contractors.
We have the assets, resources and expertise to supply
any size job you can imagine. And, with over 30 locations,
chances are we are just down the road.
Customer Service
With our recent investment in
technology, we have made a quantum leap in our ability
to service our customers. From tracking the location
of our mixer trucks at all times to improved reliability
in scheduling and order taking, we take customer service
seriously. Our new document imaging system allows
for
speedier invoicing and handling of customer inquiries.
In 2008 we will offer electronic invoicing to those
customers who have the ability to receive them. Later
in the year we plan to introduce a secure web based
customer inquiry site that will allow the customer
to pull up his account information and view / print
invoices
and tickets.
These innovations would
be worthless without a properly trained team of employees.
In 2005, we created the "Delta Academy", a
very successful in house training program to help our
employees develop the skills needed to perform their
job duties in an safe, efficient and consistent manner.
Our delivery professional module is comprised of a one
week classroom based training program followed by an
additional week of on the road training that emphasizes
all of the customer service aspects of their position.
Quality Assurance
At Delta Industries, Inc., we
understand the importance of providing quality products
for our customers. We have a fully staffed central
QC Lab in the Jackson area with satellite labs at
some
of our other locations. Our staff is certified in multiple
areas of ready mix expertise and led by our in house
professional engineer. Each day the Technical Service
personnel run a battery of tests on everything from
incoming
raw
materials
to the compressive strength of concrete all while monitoring
the electronic batch results provided by our automated
batch systems. These steps assure the customer of a
consistent level of quality that he demands.
